Does CAI in Some Future Time Can Replace Teachers in the Classroom?

          The computer is one of the important inventions of human. Computer is very helpful to us that is why it is widespread all over the world, it is a very important tool in almost all of the institutions especially in the school. Computer is useful in instruction and in accessing information essential to the learners making the computer  play the role of  a tutor thus it relieves the teacher’s activities in his/her personal role as a tutor. Although the computer is really an effective tutor, still it cannot replace the teacher.  The computer assumes certain roles previously assigned to teachers and now the teachers  has to take new  role of facilitator and guide, this teaching and learning process is referred as facilitating learning . Facilitating learning is very effective in teaching and learning process because the students is given a chance to develop their higher thinking skills by creating ideas or concept  about the lesson on their own.  the learners may based their ideas on their own experiences, cultures and  maybe from their great minds or critical thinking and this kind of learning will become best when it is accompanied by  the computer-assisted instruction. CAI could really promote a conducive classroom atmosphere that can make the learners become more motivated in learning. but in order to make the students come up to a better learning outcome a teacher should make sure that the students are well oriented to the lesson objectives and the guidelines of activities they are going to do and also the teacher must evaluate if the students achieve the expected learning outcomes at the end of their session, that is why it is important to have the presence of the teacher in the learning process of the students. These are the evidence why I believe that the teacher cannot totally be replaced by the computer as a tutor. But sometimes I think that maybe it can be possible in some future that computer can replace the teacher, “Nothing is impossible” as what other says, but who knows? Because of the vast and rapid changes in the technology, it is really difficult to imagine on what will be the scenario in the future because the human intellect will become advance parallel to the advancement of the technology and therefore they can learn well with the use of the more complex versions of computer in the future even without a teacher as their guide but, I’ve wonder that if that happens the school will lose its function because the students can already have that kind of computer in their homes in the future and if they learn only with the computer as their tutor, then they no longer need to go to school in order to learn.

            Therefore I think that the possibility for that to happen will depend on what kind of technology generation will going to exist in some future.
